She went ashore over fourteen years ago,since then the reef has formed arround her hence the shallow water.

According the guide on the tourboot they are making planes to get her of the reef and making it a diving attraction.

Did anyone ever try to get her off the reef?

She's hard aground on a reef.

Yes Phil, I fully understand your point!
But,
a) if she is sticking hard aground, the water depth there can not be more than 1 m deep (compare the ship's load line with the ship's actual waterline now;
b) how could she get there grounded, quite far from the shoreline, onto such a shalow bottom (abt 1m), even if she had NO BALLAST onboard what never happens to be a case of a sea going ship;
c)if she is hardly grounded now & on that spot, it would be a little chance that she is laying perfectly on her "even keel, longitudinally and transverse".
Therefore it seems, that this ship is floating & without any ballast what is further endangering the stability of this ship's remains.
Phil, your add opinion & comment would be highly appreciated.
Best regards/Jadran

Has anyone actually read the photo description that the member has so kindly included here?

Ballast/ballast water is an unknown issue for her!?
"She seats on the water like a duck"

It could do with cutting up and taken away for scrap.
