I sailed with this ship (Superferry 2) wayback in year 2000 with wife and my son from Bacolod to Manila. Near Mindoro island, one of its engine encountered trouble. Were supposed to arrive in Manila at 1000H that day, but with only single engine running (one screw), we arrived at port around 1700H.

My Grandpa was then a chandler of their vessels; namely Sta. Florentina, Don Juan, Don Julio, Princess of Negros, Don Vicente, San Sebastian, Connie II, Donya Florentina, Santa Maria, and Don Claudio. Those were the glorious days of Negros Navigation. As a child, the names of those vessels have captivated my young mind whenever my Grandpa tells a story of their remarkable Captains and dramas and romance at the sea during voyages from Manila to ports of Bacolod, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro.
I still remember one unforgettable experience, me and my Father was sailing onboard Don Julio. Off the coast of Batangas, we were being overtaken by one of William Lines ferry the MV Sugbu. Our Captain would not give in to this interesting challenge, so he ordered the Chief Engr. to put the ship's throttle to full blast and race againts MV Sugbu. The two ferries were in parallel for about an hour, our beloved ferry Don Julio slowly struggling and inching forward when we were approaching the mouth of Manila Bay. Finally we approached the Manila North Harbor and we came in first in the breakwater, the Captain of MV Sugbu gave us 3 short blast from his horn as acknowledgement of his defeat. In those days, there were many stories of same kind, were Masters of both vessels after the challenge, one was paying out to the winner when arriving at port of Manila.
Sorry for my long story LOL

Not sure about the other operators you mention.
I have spent 25 years traveling to the Philippines but only recently started taking shipping pictures during my travels.
I have quite a few more to upload over the coming days so enjoy.

So, this 2Go Travel is a merger of Negros Navigation and Aboitiz, right? And what happened to PSACC/Sulpicio? Are they gone now?
