Description:

The Dubois designed superyacht "Ohana" was launched several days ago from the Fitzroy yard in New Plymouth and motored around the coast to Auckland to be rigged and delivered.
Yard # 16. 49.7m LoA, 9.96m Beam, 370 tonnes displacement. Aluminium hull and superstructure. The Southern Spars Rig is on Wynyard Wharf, the mobile crane is there and it will be stepped later today.

Yes I try to. The megayachts launched by the major New Zealand builders Alloy Yachts, Yachting Developments and Fitzroy Yachts are normally around and about the Viaduct Basin or the Silo Park Marina for up to 6 or 8 weeks while they are being completed once on the water. Often we get a photo of them sailing, or motoring in the harbour if I am in the right place at the right time. Somewhere in the archives here are photos of "Zefira", the previous Dubois Yacht that Fitzroy completed about a year ago.

@Nigel: hopefully you can make another photo when the mast etc are in place? Very good looking yacht, as usual with Dubois designs!
