Hi Rick. Thanks for your comment. You are absolutely right, a cruise ship is the perfect shipspotting platform. Well, mostly anyway. Sometimes it's impossible to get a good shot no matter what end of the ship I run to :-)

Hi Phil, luvverly shot of the Humpback Whale in port... I have just spent half an hour deciphering a photo I took of her in the anchorage here...and then it finally dawned on me just what her name correlated to! Oh well, got there in the end.
I think my shot is too far away / not sharp enough to post, but I might give it a go.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that a cruise ship serves as a perfect photgraphers perch, rather than down here at sea level!
