During 1973 I did repairs to the boiler of this ship off the South African eastern coast when the main boiler overheated and blew some pipes. We sailed under power of the auxiliary boiler from Durban to Cape Town. She was fully laden with crude and kept about 12 Nautical miles out to sea. One of the real interesting things I remember was that the ship was as steady as a rock with mostly unfelt movement.
