Great shot! :-)

After the war many trawlers were converted from coal burners to oil burning vessels. The storage space taken up by the oil was much less than the coal and it was quicker and easier to pump the oil on board. The steam trawler Wyre Mariner FD 34(Fleetwood, England - UK), built in 1956 in Selby(England) and owned by Wyre Trawlers Ltd. She later became the Northern Sun GY2(Grimsby, England - UK).

Official Number 187848
Gross Tonnage: 656
Length: 172 ft
Built: at Selby 1956
Owner: Wyre Trawlers Ltd

1956 - To Fleetwood as a new vessel.
1968 - Sold to Northern Trawlers Ltd, Grimsby, and renamed NORTHERN SUN GY2.
1976 - Scrapped.
