She did not sold .she was operating between the Basra's ports and the United Arab Emirates to 2006. Was detained by the Iranian Navy until 2007, when she returned to Iraq was in very bad condition.she was up to sell by 500.000 $ and I havn't information if she had been sold or not ! .I went to visit her at 2002 and was in good condition. Thank you so much for publishing these pictures .I have very fond memories on her board and her sister Baghdad

Ralph, given the turmoil in Iraq over the years and, consequently, the propensity for old Iraqi ships to be abandoned, it wouldn't surprise me if she was still at Umm Qasr quietly rotting away.

Exactly Phil, that was what I was getting at. So, I was hoping somebody else knew when and where she was scrapped. I see that at least in 2007 she was still around, albeit looking very derelict:

Ralph, equasis says "No Longer updated by (LRF) IHSF" since 9/2011. This essentially means that her exact status is unknown though she is almost certainly 'dead'. The likelihood is that she was sold for scrap in a private or local deal which was never reported, so the precise detail will probably never be known.
Cheers
Phil

When was she scrapped? She is "dead", but Miramar Ship Index is not fully updated.
