Fleetwood registered beam trawler FD277 MERCURIUS
leaving the West Float,Birkenhead for the River Mersey and the Irish Sea. September 1994.Built in 1963 as a sidewinder by the Zwart Ymuiden yard in Belgium. She was registered Z427 and has carried the names Sandra and Costmuir. Now fishing out of Milford Haven for Sean M Ryan, who has had a cruiser stern fitted and a 300hp Bolnes engine.I am now informed by 'asterias' in Belgium that she was not Z427 but Z527 and sold to Bremerhaven in 1972 before coming to the UK. So who is correct ? Thanks to Trasgu,Spike Fh16 and asterias for info.

Very nice shot of a old beam trawler!

Built in 1963 in Belgium, Mercurius FD 277, former Sandra and Costmuir FD 277, has got a characteristic classical design. Based in Milford Haven(Wales - UK), she is managed by Sean M Ryan and has been fitted with a cruiser stern as well as a 300hp Bolnes engine.
