Description:

This tanker is came at La Baie (Port-Alfred) on the Saguenay River during the sixties years. Irving Co was the owner. Her name Ours Polaire may be,l don't sure. If someone knows the right name, please comfirn it.

Good Day,
Thanks for posting the photo.I don't think she is the Irving Ours Polaire.The Polaire was a lot longer.It looks like it is the Aime Gaudreau.I believe she had an icebreaking bow.

Hi.....You are right.She is the Aime Gaudreau.The Polaire also had an ice breaking bow but this photo is definitly the Gaudreau. I sailed on the Gaudreau as Bosun for a short while and I recognize the superstructure to be that of the Aime Gaudreau.At one time the Gaudreau was actually 75 feet shorter.She was lengthened in the early seventies.
