Hi markuszermatt, maintenance and service wasn't a strong point in those days on these Libyan ships,hope they are not the same these days.

I worked as a Sulzer (NSD) feld service engineer in 1997 on Ain Taurga. The three generators were in a terrible condition and the turbo chargers of the Fiat main engine were unserviceable. The main engine was unning on its auxiliary blowers.

And I equally remember her undergoing the same treatment ,repairs,drydocking and maintenance in No.4 dock.in the photo the gigantic No.6 dock can be seen on top ,right side of photo still being dug.

I remember her undergoing drydocking & repairs at shipyard Viktor Lenac, Rijeka, Croatia in 1997.
