Built 1908 Williams Simons & Co Renfrew Scotland for the Strahan Marine Board.
Moved to Hobart during late 1960's to dredge EZ Co Wharf Risdon
Laid up Prince of Wales By in 1970. Cables cut by vandals & vessel went aground. Refloated 1984 & stripped for scuttling.

Macquarie was scuttled in Storm Bay on 17 December 1984

Barge behind the Macquarie is the Kulunda Built 1945 in Melbourne for military purposes but disposed prior to commissioning. The Kulduna is still in service
