Well I remember the Texaco company very well,They used to send regularily oil tankers to the Malta Drydocks for refit, have worked on lots of them in the 60s and the 70s.That was a gross error on my part in categorizing her as a cargoboat,Xmas spirit, the liquid kind is to blame.

This picture is in fact of a motor tanker built in Blythswood in 1959 as Regent Eagle-69 renamed Texaco Gloucester [69-81] and then Five Lakes in 81 till it ended its days in Chittagong Breakers 250984 Grt 12834. Have many memories of this vessel and the crew whilst under the Texaco banner. Regards Marlon
