Photo taken 40 years ago, these classics have long gone under the cutting torch, the total number of cruising passengers carried by these cruisers does not sum up to the total carried by the giants of today.
But what classic lines compared to todays paxboxes.
Such nostalgic memories. These vessels used to grace our Grand harbour any time.
regards from an old nostalgic spotter/photographer.

I second your comment re the Celebrity liners Mr.DOT,a great difference ,what happened to the more yachtlike designs of yesteryear in cruiseliners, take a look at these liners:STEFAN BATORY,SHOTA RUSTAVELI, ARIANE ,ITALIS and lots of others long gone to the breakers.

Yes jadran, even the kind of ships , yesteryear liners were classics, can we say the same for today cruiseliners, only a few in my view classify thus.

... yes, but the authentic Chandris blue tone of funnel, as then being, gives the former "X" a different image & impression compared to the "X" of today.

Well Jadran, you can still see it on the Celebrity ships, they are regular visitors to our harbour.
