It is not a nice sight of fluent lines and an elegant form - but a great photo!

I've looked at her deck plans on the Princess.com web site. There are 2 plans available before and after April 26, 2013. The After plans show her still with the SkyWalker - I'm pleased, it's a unique feature!

Oh - does she lose the skywalker??

@ Luis, your observation & comment are utterly in good order, I agree with you, but let's leave it finally to the ship's stability calculations, anyhow .....
Roy Batty has his very well phrase for the modern cruiser(s);
Quote
Let's see the bright side of the skyscraper ship.

: Excuse me Roy for using your Copyright 'wording', but it exactly suits this occasion!

So from the comments here it seems to have a pool for people who like cruising but want to stay out of the sun. That's what I call aiming for a niche market. It has an interesting but incredibly fussy design and I'm inclined to go further than Luis and suspect it might fall over in a stiff breeze.

Looking to the waterline and the depth of the vessel taking in consideration the high superestructure y wonder how the ship has stability enough to safe sail.

Jadran, I would not have bothered to mention associated problem with the 'handle' structure had it not been for the fact that this unusual photo perfectly illustrates that aspect, that is creates an oppressive appearance over the pool deck. I'm not saying anything about whether I like it or not, only that it probably created an atmosphere that the designers had not considered.

Yeah, always opposite opinions on the site .....

1) I'm fond of the cruiser Caribbean Princess ... and I here don't receive understanding but almost critics!
2) I'm not much fond of 'modern design = cruisers, etc' ... and I here do not receive understanding but critics (yesterday)!!

: what to do, C'EST LA VIE ................

Whilst you may love the 'handle' I understand that it has not been a particularly successful design concept. One of its failings is the fact that below it is a pool deck and this area is apparently almost always in shade because of the huge structure above it. Not only does it render the pool deck shady but it also creates a rather oppressive atmosphere. One can understand that to some extent from this photo, which I have to admit is quite remarkable and impressive.
