Per World Ship Society’s Marine News: February 2005 Vol. 59 No.2: “MONTANA SUN (Sun Sapphire -02) 22,620/94 – chemical / products tanker owned by Montana Sun Shipping Ltd (Thome Ship Management Pte. Ltd) Liberia. Grounded 18/11/2004 when entering Zaris, Tunisia and initial attempts by tugs to refloat her were unsuccessful. Some cargo was transferred to the chemical/oil carrier QUALITY SPIRIT and she refloated 28/11. She was on passage from Houston for Zarzis and Turkey with refined corn oil and tallow.”

Interesting to know this. I had to double check since the dates were so close to when I shot her. As per USCG: 2270123 STATEN ISLAND, NY January 6, 2005 Vessel Inspection/PSC
