This small fishing boat and another named Keny, both from Riveira, were involved on the disater of the M/T "Athenian Venture in 1988. They tried to tow the stern of the tanker, broken in two after a fire, from the middle of the Atlantic Ocean to Vigo. After some days pullling the wreck, it suddenly sank on June 17 close to Azores.
