Well Jens that is a surprise, I would never have guessed that it was the former area of the famous Deutsche Werft...I just enjoy seeing the old photos so much.. ( I am into famly history too so have plenty of that type). The truth is: the older one becomes the more the interest in history develops. :-( I feel really old!
Regards, Rick

Thanks for the compliment Jens, I had good luck with the weather, this time, unlike today when all is grey.

Hi Jens
wenn I was 1975 -77 in finkenwerder, the school was on the left side, where now the entrance is to the rueschpark,, not the elbe side. They buildet there still ships at that time if I am not mistaken

I finally found another photo, Rüschpark today, to the left of the runway and the small marina in this photo:

Hi Cornelia, great photo!:-)

Rick, Rüschpark is historic ground, it's the former area of Deutsche Werft.
This is how it looked like in 1932:

I'm not sure, but I think ships have been built at Rüschpark until the 1980s...

Sunshine ? Rumours tell that in Hamburg it always rains. I can assure you, this is not the case. Some people complain, it is windy all the time too. Wash me, but don't make me wet :-) The wind very often blows the clowds away and you get - sunshine ! Does the job, although not in a smooth way, this wind here.

Cornelia, that sounds good to me, 'Rüsch-Park' sounds like an interesting place to take ship photos..I will look on google maps... but please ensure that there is SOME sunshine for us ! ;-)

Rick, next time you are here we have to go to Rüsch-Park :-) The place is even better than Krautsand and sun usually on the right side.

Folks, I had incredible good luck with the weather, it is winter but no real winter here at the moment, cool but also some sun and this day at Rüsch-Park the weather was good for shipspotting.

Absolutely agree with Capt Ted and Faith. The color are so vivid they make that shot to be very attractive and the sharpness of your post make this lady look marvelous.
Very good job Cornelia, amitiés from LaBaie, Robert08
