She's of single-hull design and therefore did not meet international double-hull regulations. Perhaps certain exemptions allowed her to trade for a little longer than normal, but her time was really up 2-3 years ago!

Marce .... her age might be the reason for Scrapping but who knows What is wrong with the Vessel .....
Anyway's the vessel is looking bit Rusty so her End is certain ....

I used to see her frequently while sailing off the brazilian coast. She was not too old (for south american standards ). Was she scrapped for her age or for another reason ?

I think that could be stripping either ballast tanks or cargo tanks after washing, or maybe chain locker by using pneumatic pump, or it's just a water from fire pump to reduce the pressure in a system. Usually chain sprays are used for that but i can't see them running. It's just my opinion...well i'm trying to guess:)
