In Croatian language it means:
skola = school;
bakar = copper;
In the small town of BAKAR (13 km from Rijeka), a long time ago, was being done unloading of copper ore ..... and consequently this small town received the name Bakar (*Copper*).

Jadran, are the words "skola bakar" meaning "school sea" in Croat. ? incidentally Skola also means school in Maltese and is also written Skola. Whilst Bakar if it means Sea ,in Maltese it is written Bahar.How about that,Jadran.
