Description:

Taken in Boston Docks in mid 1963.Very similar to the 'Vilsandi' photographed in Wisbech at the same time.Now identified as the "Gauya".Built 1960,1281G/T(Miramar)

"Beke" type. This is GAUYA, IMO 5126744. Built in 1960 by Gheorghii Dej Shipyard in Budapest. Port of registry Riga.
1995 renamed SEIPICI
1998 renamed ZIEDS - Latvian flag

Maybe project 650? This type of ships was built for the USSR over a hundred: 92 or 93 for the commercial fleet and around 15 for the navy (as experimental ships, survey ships, naval cargo ships and cable ships). They were built since 1944 (Desna) until 1961 (Belbek) in Hungary in Budapest (Ganz & Co., later Gheorghiu Dej Shipyard), colled project 650
