I once travelled on one such vessel in the 70s between Naples and Capri , she was a very fast vessel and in no time we were in Capri. Nowadays catamarans are more the mode.The fins on these hydrofoils were very vulnerable to damage especially when mooring in heavy seas as I was told by a crew member.

The KOLHIDA TYPE hydrofoils can't ever miss their good appearance ... they are really nice vessels.
Hydrofoil "yachts"; LOL

But the "future", if any, for MIRTA is completely unknown ..... she is today 100% forgotten and only I remembered to take a photo of her ..... at least that is some "movement" regarding update of her being there.

I remember seeing her there in Aug 2009,, but could no get a clear shot of her

Her hull shape is just cool. I like her foils - pretty a seagoing hydrofoil. The ones I saw had foils just some half meter below the hull.

Wow, superb angle for one of my favourite kind of hydrofoils, Jadran! :D
If she's there for 10 years then she's lucky to be in such good conditions, unlike the one in my hometown:
