Søren, I'm really happy you like this one, thanks for your nice words.

You are right, it's really an experience to see such a giant on this relatively small river (compared to the Elbe where I come from). It was a first time for me and now I've tasted blood.:-) Hope to see the next ship leaving Meyer shipyard, too!

Cheers,
Jens

I totally agree with all of You - this is a marvellous shot!
- And tvtech: I think You are spot on ;-)

Jens (+ Jochen and Jörn) I really envy You for having the opportunity to make such wonderful shots at this perfect location! It's quite a sight on a photo, but I can imagine it is even more impressive being there :-)

Thanks for sharing!

Best regards,
Søren

I'm really selfish...

Actually the photo should be credited to Jochen Wegener and Jörn Prestien, too.
Without them this photo wouldn't exist. (Hm, sounds like an Oscar winner's address, doesn't it?):-)
Jochen provided me with the data, where an when , and Jörn was so kind to show us the right places on location. I was just one of many guys (and girls) with a camera hitting the shutter...

Now, today we have a lot of magnificent photos of Norwegian Breakaway's trip yesterday online, not just mine... Have a look!

Last but not least, tvtech - thank you for your compelling comment!
And once more a big thanks to all of you who commented on my photo.

Cheers, Jens

Hi Guys

This photo is so brilliant in so many ways. I will name only two now though:

1. New Ship. Perfect shooting conditions. Magic.
2. Grand overview of how big this ship really is..I mean look at the people on the beach in the foreground compared with how huge this ship is behind them....

Brilliant photo that brings perspective to everything.

Best regards,
tvtech

Jochen, thank you very much! Ah, that's a pity you couldn't be there. But as you say, it won't be long until her sister will leave Papenburg.

And thanks again for keeping me up-to-date, otherwise I would have missed this opportunity, too!

All the best from Hamburg, Jens

Very nice, Jens, wish I would have been there, but it was impossible cause of my dogs: they must stay at home. Next time, in a year or so.
