I've had a message from Bob Smith that this vessel's name is actually TRACY BENNET - note no E in Tracy.
She was originally owned under her name of David Marley by Stephenson Clarke Shipping Ltd (Newcastle) and was a motorised barge, 730 grt, 337 net, 1210 dwt, built 1963, British Flag, Call Sign MGIL, lengtth 55.5m, breadth 11.3m, depth 5m and draft 4.4m.
When she operated on the Tyne (North East England) she would carry ash from the electrical power stations (coal fed) out to sea for disposal.

Hi Capt. Jan
My interest stems from some photographs of the David Marley that I took on the River Tyne (North East England) back in 1970.

The David Marley appears to have been purchased in the latter part of her life by Bennett's Tugs and Barges and renamed TRACEY BENNETT. According to Equasis this vessel is no longer in service. Bennett's web site can be found at http://www.bennetts-tugs.co.uk/index.cfm?ObjectId=1581 and a photograph of the TRACEY BENNETT can be seen at http://www.shipspotting.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=17676.
