This is a busy scene at Dunkirk photographed in the late Summer of 1966 from the London Valour. The Dover-Dunkirk ferry TWICKENHAM FERRY is arriving while in the background, the bulk carrier CETRA LYRA, IMO 6615754 is still under construction. This photo has been very popular with lighthouse enthusiasts, as it is no longer possible to get a view like this owing to extensive foreground construction.

The number of other vessels there and the skyline dotted with cranes came as a surprise to me.
