Position: Baltic Sea, just north of Rønne Harbour.

One time a year in the month of May, Danish JRCC and the Royal Danish Navy invite SAR authorities from all states around the Baltic Sea to participate in the multi national SAR-exercise called: BALTIC SAREX.

SAR and rescue vessels, helicopters from many counties participates – and it quite a requirement to coordinate all the vessels and helicopters – at one time!

One of the disciplines is mass evacuation from a ferry by helicopter hoisting.
