Description:

Last revenue trip of Canadian National Railways' 'Canora' - Fraser River near Vancouver, BC - 24 May 1967 [DOT collection - photographer believed to be Don J Brown].
Originally built by the Canadian Northern Railway (a predecessor of Canadian National) from which the vessel's name was derived. For most of her years of service she was employed in ferrying railcars back & forth between CN rail lines on Vancouver Island, and the British Columbia mainland. She was built as a coal burner, but was converted to burn oil in the 1920's. Her years of operation lasted from 1918 to 1967.
