Thanks Cornelia, thanks Samson :)
I also think this is the end of the vessels and the link between Ostend and Ramsgate if nobody takes over the service.
Best regards, Frank

Cornelia: DFDS was in charge by the time HAMBURG came on the service and the service was deteriorating despite the nicer ship. It was better in the days of PRINZ HAMLET and with PRINZ OBERON on the Bremerhaven service.
Being elderly, rampless and double-deck, it is likely that the next call for the two TEF ships (and OSTEND SPIRIT) will be the scrapyard - unless someone takes over the service and its current vessels.

Now, when it becomes silent about TEF, might be last time we see this ship in European waters. I have been onboard TEF vessels Larkspur and Oleander, found they made best out of their second-hand bought P&O ferries. And, Frank - I remember well, the times "Hamburg" and "Prince of Scandinavia" went to Hamburg ! Used them often.. you know they offered heavily discount train tickets for people who live further than 170 km's from Hamburg so.. getting to Hamburg was cheapest if you go to England by ferry first :-)

Thanks Hawkeye and Jens.
Many years ago, Ferries came to Hamburg regulary.
Will we also say, we remember the times, when
ferries called Ostend?
Best regards, Frank

Very nice photo of an interesting old lady, Frank. A pity we don't have such here at Hamburg...

Thank you very much, Tino
Hopefully she will not go to the scapyard soon.
I think it was my last opportunity to take a
photo of her arriving in Ostend.

With best regards, Frank
