Quote REG:

Looks like the "dazzle camouflage" applied to ships during World War I. The idea then was to break up the shape of the ship, making it difficult to identify, as well as difficult to determine the course and speed. But, why would anybody what to apply that to a vessel in peacetime?

To make the poor druggies mind even more screwed up knowing he/she will be living on this boat while they are treated for their addiction.....or, it could be...

Reverse psychology.....druggies see a screwed up paint job like this and in their blotted mind it looks like a beautiful ship? Who knows.

There must be a very sound reason for the bizzare paint job.

Could you imagine how a drug addict would see this ship with his/her mind blown on drugs and high etc??And it is to be their home while they recuperate.

I don't use drugs but this ships colors are making me giddy and I feel unwell just looking at it.

It's completely ugly that's it. Warships in such livery were more acceptable & interesting.

Maybe the ship is a botel but I think not the "Amstel Botel Hotelschiff". The form is different (windows , decks etc.)

This vessel reminds me of that World War 2, style painting.
so U boats couldn't easily tell one end of a ship to another...Pretty effective too..I can't tell one end of this botel form the other!!! ..So, it still works, that paint scheme!!! :-)))... I wouldn't fancy boarding after a few TOO many Becks Biers!!! I'd probably end up in the drink, myself
