Description:

Coastal tanker STOL LIS TERKOL at Eastham,in the river Mersey. She has just left the Manchester Ship Canal at Eastham Locks and is heading for the Irish Sea.

Sorry, but there is something wrong with both the name and the date for this photo. Ships name is like to be STOLT LIS TERKOL: Not Else Terkol. it was a completely different type of tanker. It cannot have been taken on May 9, 1991, as Stolt Lis Terkol wasn't delivered from the yard until July 10. 1991 and was the first in the series. Her first apperence ever at sea was on June 22. 1991 when she was on the sea trial - where I took the photos.
So STOLT LIS TERKOL and another date.

This ship is now one of the Stolt Tankers. However here is a picture of Else Terkol taken around the same time on the canal and is completely different to the ship here except for the livery therefore this ship cannot be Else Terkol.
Nice light with dark sky though!
