Description:

Launched from Dunston's yard at Thorpe in Yorkshire in 1943 and in her 70th year , she is the last coal-fired Clyde Puffer still sailing. Over 100 of these Steam Lighters were ordered and built for the Admiralty. They were ideal for beaching on flat sandy beaches because of their flat and broad bottoms.
