The little ship at right is the Inaha built for the South Taranaki Shipping Company by Coaster Construction Company, Montrose, Scotland, in 1923 and was the first motorship on the New Zealand coast. She was built for the Patea to Wellington cheese run for which her holds were insulated. Sold to owners in Rabaul, New Britain, in 1960 she foundered off the Cape Lambert, New Britain, on 19 January 1963 after losing a propeller. As she had twin screws I'm not sure why this lead to her loss, presumably the propeller punctured her hull in its death throes.
