This vessel was ordered in 1948 by the Compagnie Maritime Belge(CMB) under yardnumber 743.She is build by the John Cockerill Yard at Hoboken near Antwerp,Belgium.NOT Boelwerf, the Boelyard was at Temse,20 kms.further stream up on the river Scheldt!!The combiliner Charlesville was launched on 12-08-1950 and delivered on 15-02-1951.This are correct facts from a former welder of Cockerill Yards.
