The beautiful 1948-built portuguese cargo liner HORTA in Funchal, Madeira in 1978 photographed by Luis Miguel Correia.
The HORTA was one of four cargo passenger ships introduced in 1948-49 by the Companhia de Navegação Carregadores Açoreanos (of Ponta Delgada, the Azores), for their Lisbon - New York regular service. She had a long career and in 1973 was transferred to the INSULANA fleet, and in 1974 to CTM. Withdrawn from service in 1980 and scrapped in Lisbon

The original photograph was taken on Kodachrome 25 slide film... I have used this photo for a post card in my SHIP POST CARDs Editions ([email protected])
I also used to take colour negatives and black & white negs..., the colour negatives are the more sensitive, and its colour change easily...

nice to see you are still keeping on.
Very lovely photo this one, it's keeping the colours very well after so many years. (Maybe it's a slide?). I myself has problems with my old colour-negatives to get right colours, maybe I should have started with slides also?
Anyway, very good photo.
