Description:

Hamburg Sud chartered newbuild departing from Auckland for Melbourne after it's first visit.
Built in 2013 by Taizhou Catic Shipbuilding, China. 3820 TEU capacity or 3000 TEU's at 14 mt each. 228m LoA, 37.3m Beam.
The ship is used in the Australia and New Zealand trade lane to the West Coast of North America.
Cabo Corrientes is a cape on the Pacific Coast of Mexico that marks the southern end of the 100 km long Bahia de Banderas ( Bay of Flags). Presumably this ship and a predecessor ship ( IMO 8213794 )in the Hamburg Sud fleet are named after this geographical landmark.
