Cabo Corrientes is a cape on the Pacific Coast of Mexico that marks the southern end of the 100 km long Bahia de Banderas ( Bay of Flags). Presumably this ship and a predecessor ship ( IMO 8213794 )in the Hamburg Sud fleet are named after this geographical landmark.
