I went on the Oxfordshire in Singapore in late 62 (I was 8) to see friends off so I guess it must have been her final trooping voyage. With the Nevasa she was a visually appealing ship but I expect there were few comforts as a trooper.

Lovely shot. Watched her being built next to EMPRESS OF BRITAIN more or less.She was the last of a long line bringing the final contingent of seaborne troops home in 1962 before embarking on her even longer career with SITMAR.
