Denis, you are probably right, but having seen the indigenous populous hanging out from railway carriage windows and roofs, I thought perhaps they might be able to apply a little paint whilst underway !!!

Allan, there might be no time for any decorating. I'm sure this ferry as any other craft there is occupied by doing it's functions 24/7/365. If engine works - then nothing else matters. :D

you'd think that at least a couple of the 1.21 billion might be useful with a paint brush

Dеnis on Jun 24, 2013 21:11 (5 years ago)
Well, since there are over 1.21 billion of people in India, I'm not surprised they care neither about the ship's state nor passengers' safety.

Are these the effects of only five years of the Indian climate? Incredible...
James Henton on Jun 24, 2013 18:22 (5 years ago)
I'd be having a word with the paint suppliers...

Maybe if she looked well maintained the local wiseguys would ask for a donation...:)

Cant belive that this amount of rust is only five years old, looks more like twenty five.
Maybe it was made like this to blend in, and i suppose in India if its making money why bother maintaining it, wait till it sinks, then fix it.

Wow!!! When I saw the preview it looked like a relic. Utter shock to see it is a working ferry and still operational.
Jeez, what a rust bucket.
