@ Captain Ted..Yes your quite right..I never really noticed how worn this ship looks..I was focused on the damaged area.
Also notice how , even after about 10 years after the P&O takeover, they still have not got around to painting the ship in full Maersk colours Such as Buff for the accomdiation and Wine/Maroon for the maim deck and cell guides etc. More cost cutting..And saftey is a cost also!!!!

@ Michael..Thank you I forgot about Ebba Maersk.

@Ozzy
Further, if that what MAERSK had in the last month,s on mishaps would be MSC peoples would go crazy on them. Do you think that Maersk is the only one who never makes mistakes or has problems ? They are the ones who keeping the tightest cap on it when something goes wrong and having one of the biggest, if not the biggest PR department in shipping and don,t forget, what you see is not necessarily the whole story. Look at this vessel, if you take a honest look,,could use also some maintenance, which addmittingly is not easy in tight schedules and 9 of 10 ports do not allow maintenance work in ports anymore for environmental and/or security reasons and if they do, what MINI-crews have nowadays time to do it.

Wow good photo..T/Y for posting.
Is it just me or is Maersk having a run of bad luck recently.
So far on casualties , We have seen an oil spill in Valencia for Nero Maersk.
One of the Giant E class ( Emma Maersk class) had an engine room flood in Suez.
And now this one!!
Of course this comes on the back of the commercial disaster that were the B class..And the Merger with P&O was handled badly..They lost customers.
The gloss is off the Maersk group..I think so, anyway
