Description:

Today, I've been once again at the scrapyard of M. Smedegarden in Esbjerg. I think, this pic is definitely the last of the former Sietas Typ 95a motorvessel FINJA :-(! The superstructure was on the same place like 2 and a half weeks before. Maybe someone needs a exquisitely flat/ house(fully furnished) for little money...??!!

Thanx for your kind comment Jens!

Hope her rests will find the way to a new life at sea ;-)!

Well, she had a long life and for the last photo ever of her (which this is) there could be no better found. To me this last piece of steel with her name on it appears like a tombstone... an adequate and great catch, Arne.

Hey guys,
sorry, but I think I've seen the last pieces of this beauty today. I'll post some pics of her better times the next days. I have made some pictures, when she was named RIKA, too.

Rgds
Arne

Don't we all, Olaf? I saw her for the first time back in November 2007 (29 years after you sailed on her) under repair here at Norderwerft. Seeing that she's gone now that almost seems like ages to me... nice little ship. What's worse is that her builder might not survive her for long...

Arne, thanks for documenting the end of a ship. I sailed on her as an ordinary seaman in 1978, she was brand new called 'G.H. Ehler'. Guess I am getting older. Rgds to HH, Olaf
