keel laid in 1930 as a PRESIDENTE IBANEZ, after fall of dictator Ibanez building for Chile stopped, incomplete as first Yard-No.No. 54 on slipway remained,
launch... In 1936 (new yard No. 71) for the HANSA-Tank-Rhederei GmbH (Friedrich & Walter Joch) Hamburg as Coastal Passengership ADMIRAL.
Planned for "Kraft durch Freude" ( " strength to joy " traveling) , not explained , from owner sold to German navy / Kriegsmarine: in 1937 to German navy as a school ship for the naval school Flensburg-Mürwik.31-1-1938 in service as --> PAUL BENEKE, 9-5-1945 British war trophy, 6-1945 surveying ships for the DHI (Deutsches Hydrographisches Institut Hamburg ), 6-12-1949 except service, laid up, in 1953 in the Netherlands sold, laid up by A. van of the Grijp, Sliedrecht. In 1959 renamed in TABU,laid up in Harbour Leer/ East Friesland. 2-3-1979 sunk commercial harbour Leer, salvaged 18-1-1980, farther use....
