Sorry Clive I was referring to the forward superstructure as a whole, you are right the bridge as such slants forward.

Sorry Emmanuel, but the 'wings' were removed from the Pacific Sun, which was originally Carnival Cruise Line's Jubilee, and it looked very odd indeed. The bridge of the Ocean Dream isn't back-slanting, to me the bridge appears to be slanting forwards?

Well opinions differ, I rather that they just took off the "wings" on her original funnel ,looking at her back slanting bridge and her now straight stove pipe makes the said stove pipe an anomaly to her looks.

A conversion! This was the first purpose-built cruise ship for Carnival Cruise Line and it was not converted from some pre-existing vessel. Though if you look at stern views of the ship 'as built' you will see that the addition of sponsons at her stern have rather squared-off her aft lines. As for her present funnel, I'm with Mr DOT in that I think that it is a vast improvement over her original one. It is very complimentary to the lines created by the glazed area above the bridge and therefore I think it suits her very well.

Hmm... I would have preferred something more sleek than a stove pipe, and the stern looks more like a ro/ro vessel ,must be a conversion too.

Very nice pic. of this one time carnival new build, and the 'stovepipe' funnel was an improvement over the winged carnival thing, is particularly nice entering your grand harbour! mrdot.
