A French aircraft carrier anchored at the port of Rio de Janeiro in the 60's.

Yes it's a Clemmenceau class aircraft carrier. Argentina operated Super Entendards but never Brazil. I think they had (have?) A-4 Skyhawks

Hi Paul,

I am afraid the MINAS GERAIS was fitted with a large derrick mast, not a thin mast as on the pic.

The aircrafts are not my cup of tea, but the plane forward seems to be 'Etendard IV' type, used (only ?) in French navy.

Best regards,
Yvon

French aircraft carrier FOCH (now SAO PAULO) or CLEMENCEAU.
The story of CLEMENCEAU (sorry in French, http://www.netmarine.net/bat/porteavi/clem/histoire.htm ), reports a call at Rio de Janeiro, 9-14 November 1968.
Regards,
Yvon
