Due to lack of funding the maritime museum in Rotterdam is losing the museumship "Buffel" after having had her in their possesison for more than 30 years.
The vessel was unberthed on Thursday afternoon September 19th. and towed towards the entrance of the Leuvehaven. On Fridaymorning September 20th. she was towed to the Keppel Verolme Yard in Rozenburg for maintenance and inspection.
It is the intention to berth her in the historic "Jan Blanken Dock"in Hellevoetsluis on October 5th. to be re-opened for the public before the end of 2013.
