OK, the length between the lashing bridges is 40 feet, and the length of the superstructure should still be longer than 20 feet, then...20 ft. superstructure would look even more ridiculous than this one. :)
(Anyway, I will check the drawings. Don't have them for this particular series, but UASC 13k TEU vessels have same accommodation, I think...)

One has looked very closely. At 'Original size' on my screen, the length between perpendiculars of the guides where the contsiners would be is 3.1 cm., whereas the corresponding length at the accommodation block is 2.1cm. Try it ! I had always understood the superstructure blocks on this type of vessel were one TEU long, which is why I mentioned it.

When one looks closely, he will find out that both superstructures have the length of one TEU. So, they are the same length as that of a container...

The soul really has gone out of ships, or should I say shipowners. They couldn't even make the accommodation block the same length as a container. Mean !
