Compare "humps" & sterns of these China built ships with http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1417833 built by HDW Kiel. Appears that Chinese cut off some parts of the hull for some reason.

These Norasia-ships were in their own design-League. Unfortunately, as far as I recall, they had serious engine problems. Niels

This series of container ships has an interesting bow too!

Not sure if it was modified for that, otherwise they not only forgot to put a lifeboat there but also the stern mooring equipment. I think such stern probably has something to do with reducing the gross tonnage.
