After four multiputpose general cargo ships of B-584 class:
http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=3019

Szczecin Shipyard developed versatile B-584/IV ships, with highest ice class.
The ships are truly multipurpouse, being able to carry: paper rolls, timber, pulp,
general-, bulk- or heavy cargo and - of course - containers. To handle this cargo,
they have three cranes (from 50 to 120 ton) and five pallet lifts. First four vessels:
(L = 172,60 m, B = 25,30 m, H = 14,60 m; capacity: 1127 TEU)

B587/IV/1 STADIONGRACHT, IMO 9202508, 2000;

B587/IV/2 SCHELDEGRACHT, IMO 9202510, 2000;

B587/IV/3 SLUISGRACHT, IMO 9202522, 2001;

B587/IV/4 SPUIGRACHT, IMO 9202534, 2001;
http://www.shipspotting.com/ships/ship.php?imo=9202534

were soon followed by more. One had the same particulars (but 1134 TEU):

B587/IV/5 STATENGRACHT, IMO 9288045, 2004;
http://www.shipspotting.com/ships/ship.php?imo=9288045

and next vessels were delivered as 12,8 m longer, with increased capacity:
(L = 185,40 m, B = 25,30 m, H = 14,60 m; capacity ca. 1291 TEU)

B587/IVL/6 SUOMIGRACHT, IMO 9288057, 2004;

B587/IVL/7 SAIMAAGRACHT, IMO 9288069, 2005;

B587/IVL/8 SAMPOGRACHT, IMO 9288071, 2005;

B587/IVL/9, scheduled for 2009; order cancelled;
B587/IVL/10, scheduled for 2009; order cancelled;

Next design was the fifth container ship series from Szczecin, the B-178:
