Built 1947 as RIO TEUCO
Short Bros., Sunderland, Hull 494 for the Argentine Government
Sold 1964- SOUTH AMERICA, Liberian flag, Monrovia
On 11 February 1966 the vessel caught fire in the North Sea, about half way between Harwich and Scheveningen at 52.02N 02.20E, loaded with a cargo of fishmeal from Chimbote - Peru.
Vessel beached at Maasvlakte and burned out.
Wreckage remained in situ and later demolished.
