My first ship as galley boy wason her through the 66 seamans strike trading on the continent ,i believe they put a belgium barge on her run called GEBOLTRA....mc cloud was my first skipper then a guy called BAKER who i later saw in kings lynn capt of a dredger.......last capt was sent out le harve to join us was Capt stranger a lovely old guy good memories of the marsworth.......don taylor

She was owned by the Grand Union Shipping a sub of GSNC and her managers in Goole were the Bennet SS co hence the Red Cross on the funnel.For a number of years her master was John McCleod from Stornaway.C/e Bastian Van Krimpen.Bosun George Fawcett from Hull. AB Bob Crossley Goole.Our run was Goole Boulogne one week and then Dunkirk and Boulogne 2nd week.I was her mate in 1964/5
