The Ballymoney was sailing from Goole for Belfast with coal when approaching Ocean Lock & River Don entrance the strong Spring tide pushed her across the River Don to ground on the shipyard slipway and her stern suffering a large dint in her stern on South Pier Ocean Lock Goole only to move off when the tide slackened (late 50s) (Charlie Hill)
