At that time she was my favourite passenger ship,, utterly beautiful & graceful shipshape design,, just look at the bow with the anchor rack ... navigation bridge ... FUNNEL ... location of lifeboats ... stern ....... all looking even better than yacht looks !

As GENTILE DA FABRIANO (with her sister ship Andrea Mantegna) she was a regular visitor to port of Rijeka in the 1960s,, only much later she received that additional "box-like" accommodation superstructure above the bridge deck.

IMO 5128326, ex-GENTILE DA FABRIANO. Later became the GALAPAGOS EXPLORER. Grounded and lost in the Galapagos islands on 6/1/'96.
