I understand you very well Tony ............
but,,
I can not understand the passengers/guests doing a cruise on such a ship today,, because ............
These passengers/guests mostly live in there hometown which is usually crowded with people & congested with traffic.
Then they come onboard a cruise ship and live/spend 8 days again "at a narrow street" that is again crowded with people !!!
They really must feel LIKE AT HOME ! LOL
Actually,, I see on this photo a "small town with a narrow street" but not "anything of a ship" ..... and the passengers/guests take there holiday to go aboard a SHIP,, and I herewith said SHIP (for other reason they could choose a grand Hotel somewhere on the shoreside) !

When I was at the town Augusta the scene looked quite similar !
